Here’s what people have said so far:
Hike to Mt. Tetakawi. 3 hours round trip. Park at Mile Marker 15. A beautiful view from this peak that has been a landmark for sailors for 300+ years. Be sure to take a picture from the "slot" looking north to Paradiso, one of the most beautiful views of the resort.
Read "Guaymas Chronicles"(2003). A true story of a young Ph.D. student from the University of New Mexico (now Assistant Provost of the University) that found a deep and wonderful relationship in Guaymas. First go visit Guaymas, then read the book. It is so well written that the reader can see and experience what a Mexican town and culture was 50 years ago and the powerful effect that Mexico has had on so many Americans. The beautiful night skies from the roofs of Paradiso. Away from the light pollution of cities, the stars are breathtaking.
Hike to "Hidden Oasis" behind the golf course. Easy hike up a narrow canyon north of San Carlos to a palm treed oasis.

Waking up in the early morning was a sight to see. The sun peaking through the palm trees, the fish jumping in the lagoon and just the quietness of the beach was very relaxing. This is what paradise is all about!

I went for a couple of wonderful walks early morning before everybody else got up. The first time I went to the islands just in front of Paradiso. The tide was low enough to walk to them; I collected some sea shells and climbed up to the top of one of the islands. It was wonderful to be there alone and in touch with nature listening to the waves, enjoying the peace and quiet atmosphere and watching the sun rise and the beautiful scenery. The second walk was across from the main entrance to the resort, around the area where we went horse back riding. The area is very good to take good shots of cactus, flowers, Tetakawi Mountain and the surroundings. I recommend these types of walks to connect with nature, be by yourself, and take great pictures.

There is a great walk down the beach of Paradiso that is fun for couples and families. If you walk down the beach toward the fishermen’s village (away from Tetakawi), there are some rock formations that you can sit on and watch the sunset. The coolest thing about this walk is that you can observe some kamikaze pelicans dive-bomb into the water searching for fish, or just being crazy! It is a fun walk that is best just before sunset.
